That said… as a reference for myself and because I am notoriously "difficult to shop for", here are a few things that have caught my attention.
Gunpla
I have a sizable backlog and I'm mostly set on building tools.
I've enjoyed many different series, but I think Gundam SEED is my favorite. Recently I've found myself gravitating towards the mid-sized Master Grades.
General Release
These kits are usually pretty easy to get ahold of.
I am a sucker for any form of the Freedom and these are the two I don't have yet.
RG Freedom
RG Strike Freedom
Favorites to Build Again
These were two of my favorite kits to build and I would love to build them again.
The stores I trust are Gundam Pros, Gundam Planet, and Colonial Photo and Hobby.
Announced for 2027
These kits have peaked my interest, but all the details are not available yet.
HG Zero
HG Helix
SEED Freedom Zero will be in theaters in February and there will be a couple new kits to go along with the film.
HG Gouf
Limited Release
These kits are sold exclusively through the Premium Bandai website or the Gundam Base. Second hand pricing is offensive. It is simply a matter of waiting for them to be rereleased.

Gundam Card Game
There are a number of Legendaries and Rares I'm chasing, especially from the most recent set (Freedom Ascension), especially Kira Yamato and the Strike Freedom.
The next booster set, Stardust Trails [GD06], will be released October 30. I hope to collect the cards from Stardust Memory, but I'm less interested in those from Double Zeta.
Gundam Assemble
The Gundam Assemble game launches in the fall. I've preordered the first Starter Set and the Deluxe SEED Set.
There are several expansion sets coming out that would be fun to add, like those with Mighty Strike Freedom, Aerial, or the Zaku squad.
Ex Impulse
I like the look of the standard Impulse, but this one is on another level of cool. It was last available in 2024. Since it is seldom available, my plan is to customize my High Grade version of the Force Impulse to resemble this mobile suit.
Gouf Ignited Custom
This kit for the new movie is expected in the summer of 2027.
Gundam Helix
This Gundam is due to appear in the Gundam Rouge video game in the fall of 2027. The bulk and detail are nice.
A special edition in the more traditional, primary color scheme will be exclusive to the Collectors Edition of the game. I don't know if I will be playing the game and I can always paint the general release version.
Hobby Hi-Zack
The colors on this are fun and overall it is more interesting than the usual Zaku. It was last available in 2026.
Stormbringer
This is one of the best versions of a Gundam with loads of armor and weapons. It has a cool story behind it, too. It was last available in 2023. The F.A. and P.F. versions (with their extra parts and price) have been available more recently.
Gundam Zero
This is the lead Gundam from the upcoming XARX-ZERO anime expected in the spring. I was tentatively intrigued when it was first announced, but the design has grown on me.
